PAYMENT PROCEDURES & AGENCY'S FEE FOR FURNISHED APARTMENTS
SERVICE CHARGES AND RENTALS
What is this fee?
Housing in Chile charges a fee for its services
to help you find lodging in Chile. This fee is charged to cover
the agency operating expenses. Its amount is independent on the
lodging price; it varies according to the length of stay in the
case of monthly rentals of Private/Furnished Flats.
When is the fee charged?
This fee must be paid only once and no later than the time when
the housing is rented. To secure the housing reservation it is preferable
that you send this fee in advance by using either of the two methods
outlined below. No fee is charged if you decide to change lodging.

METHOD OF PAYMENT OF THE FEE
To secure your reservation you may send
the amount corresponding to the agency fee by means of either of
the methods of money transfer to Chile:
OPTION 1:
Via WESTERN UNION www.westernunion.com
addressed to the Directress of Housing in Chile (please request
details via e-mail).
OPTION 2: Through
a deposit in our account at the office of our bank in New York or
our bank here in Chile (please request details via e-mail).
We will acknowledge the reception of these funds via e-mail
sending a receipt (PDF file) as well as we will give you all the
accommodation details as housekeeper´s name, address and phone
number, directions on how to get the place from the Santiago airport,
etc.
If you do not wish to pay the fee in advance, we will not be able
to secure the reservation of your preferred lodging.
PAYMENT OF THE MONTHLY
LODGING RENTAL
The monthly rental must be paid directly to the host (housekeeper)
of each accommodation. Housing in Chile will not receive them, it
however, monitors visitor satisfaction with their accommodation
and it also coordinates departures and reutilization of lodgings
by new visitors.
The monthly rentals must be paid in CHILEAN PESOS and in cash. No
foreign bank checks, traveler checks, foreign currency cash, nor
credit cards are acceptable for now.
The values in US DOLLARS and EUROS detailed in this site are for
reference only. The official values are those expressed in CHILEAN
PESOS (CLP).
The first monthly rental has to be paid ON ARRIVAL together with
the guarantee amount.
GUARANTEEE AND CONTRACT
To rent a furnished apartment it is necessary to pay a guarantee
equivalent to a ONE monthly rental, which will be give you back
at the end of the period and after to check whether all the bills
have been paid in time and the apartment's stuff is according to
the inventory signed together with the CONTRACT. The guarantee amount
has to be paid to Housing in Chile at the beginning of the rental
period.
Regarding to the CONTRACT, this will be signed between the apartment's
owner and the passenger on arrival. Passengers have to provide two
photocopies of their passports.
IN CASE OF MOVING OUT FROM THE
APARTMENT
If later on you decide not to continue living at the previously
chosen flat, you shall give us an advance notice of ONE MONTH. That
first monthly rental is not refundable, as well as the Housing in
Chile commission fee (agency's fee). We will be pleased
to help you find another accommodation among the apartments with
which we operate, not charging a new commission fee. By other hand,
if you decide to move in to lodgings that do not belong to our network,
the Housing in Chile commission is not refundable either.
REGARDING THE LENGTH
OF STAY
It is important that you define the total length of your stay when
you make your reservation at Housing in Chile, since that will help
us define the agency's fee that will be charged as well as help
us determine when that accommodation will become available for another
visitor.
